Is Upgrading To a Streamlight Stinger Smart Charger A Good Move?

I have two Streamlight Stingers and two Streamlight Stinger chargers. Both chargers are marked P/N: 75100. According to what I have read on-line, it looks like Streamlight 75100 has been discontinued.

The Streamlight Smart Charger 75105 has replaced the 75100. Is it worthwhile to upgrade to the smart charger? If so, why? Is the biggest benefit the ability to know when the battery is fully charged?

I don't think so. I have a couple of 75100 chargers. They are just the slow ones that keep a constant small current going to the batteries to keep them topped up. The smart charger is a fast charger and can charge the battery in an hour instead of something like 18 hours for the so charger. But unless you're using it every day and killing the battery, I don't imagine you need the fast charger. The slow charger is actually better for infrequent use.
In other words, if it ain't broke don't fix it
