There does not seem to be a lot of info on this light.

http://www.batteryjunction.com/itp-e50.html

does anybody have one or know anything about it.

I think I may get one as I am looking for something in the 30-45 dollars range.

It looks to be a good balance between output and runtime while still having a good balance of throw and flood.

I was also considering the Duracell Daylite cr-123. 160 lumens

http://www.duracell.com/us/smartpower/products_daylite.asp

The itp-e 50 seems to be better although a few extra bucks

Thoughts?

Thanks

Thanks.

Does anybody own one? if so, could you share your thoughts.

I can't seem to find a better light for under 45 bucks. Although I haven't spent tons of time looking yet.

I wonder if it really puts out 230 lumens

I wouldn't count on 230 lumens as they are probably led lumens, maybe 190/200 out front lumens which is a decent output.

This light has variable brightness adjustment and comes with nylon holster plus ITP lights have a good finish.
I believe you will have a hard time to find all this features in a cheaper light.

It is just my opinion but I think for some reason ITP lights are under rated.

Good luck

When you compare it to an Pelican 7060 with 130 Lumen the E50 has 60-70 Lumen, dont look only at Lumen, it says nothing without the same measure method.

how can the pelican with a 4 watt led powered by a 3.7 volt battery be that much brighter than the ITP with at least 6 volts. Are the leds different or something.

I also noticed that the pelican is almost 2.5x more $$.

Can it really go from 230 to 60-70? Is there that much range in the measurements?

60-70 doesn't seem that bright to me, does anyone own one that could give some feedback?

Thanks for your input. I am trying to find the best light for me in the 30-45 $$ range.

Ok, Light reviews use the same method to test the lights so lets do a little comparison in outputs

ITPE50: (2x 16340)
Max Spot 7870 Lux
Max Spill 158 Lux

Fenix TK10 Q5 (225 lumens) (2x 16340)
Turbo Spot 7070 Lux
Turbo Spill 155 Lux

Nitecore Extreme (a 190/200 lumens light): (1x 16340)
Max Spot 4920 Lux
Max Spill 152 Lux

Fenix P3D CE Q5 in Turbo (190/200 lumens light) (2x 16340)
Turbo Spot 3760 Lux
Turbo Spill 122 Lux

The ITP has more output and a brighter center spot than other lights around 200 lumens therefore my guesstimate was ok.
It got more output than a Fenix TK10 with 225 lumens.

It still looking very good to me for $43.
Most of my lights are one cell lights but I might give it a try, thank you OP....:D

Thanks, that seems more reasonable. It seems a bit much to drop from 230 to 60 or 70. I may get this one.

keep me posted if you get one, since it seems there are not a lot of owners here. It also seems to run much longer with the 123's. I like that you can fully adjust it so I could use it in the house on low and outside I could crank it up.

I think it may be worth the few extra bucks over the duracell cr-123 160 lumen I was looking at.

Just my 2 cents.....

I've got the C10T, which is the same except with a smaller head. Great light!
It works every time without a hitch. I can carry it in my back pocket by my wallet with no problem. You really can't go wrong, especially for the price.:twothumbs

I had one.

Great litght.
Perfect size, great finish, very nice quality holster.
Excellent output.
The brightness adjustment is great.
Regulated (with the same output) with 2 x CR123A and 1 x 17670.

Recommended !!!

Just came across this, about 4 months ago i bought the E50 & C6 from batteryjunction and they are both worth the money. It is bright and i would say around 200-220 lumens.

Its lux numbers are bigger DOESN'T mean its overall brighter.
You can say higher lumen leads to higher lux, but it doesn't work the other way around. Higher lux DOESN'T necessarily means it has more lumens (overall light produced).

I got my iTP C7T based on Mev's review, trust me, it can be extremely deceiving.

iTP lights are good bang for buck, but as you get into the flashaholic hobby, you'd start to feel really how cheap iTP lights really are.

If you're getting E50 as a tool, go for it. But if there's even a trace of thought that you might want to have it as part of your "light collection", I'd think twice before getting it if i was you.

The other guy (maxilux) said the E50 only had 60-70 lumens.

I think the point Hawk600 was trying make was that the lumens were rated way higher (230) on the E50 than the pelican 7060 (130 lumens), so he was trying to show that it was putting out more light with the whole lux thing.

Maybe I'm wrong

either way I will post when I get it. I am sure for 40 bucks it will meet my needs. sometimes it seems on this site that people forget how much $$ we're talking about. They are used to very nice lights that cost way more, so when they talk about a $40 light it not as good. Well of course it's not as good, it costs 40 bucks, not 100.

just making a general observation, not talking directly at you
