Jet Beam Jet-I Pro question

I have a Jet-I Pro I.B.S. My wife brought it home last weekend from our cabin saying it needed a new battery. I didn't check the old AA alkaline battery but just replaced it with a new one. I can't get the light to power up in any way. I doubt the LED burned out or anything else for that matter. The light has always worked fine and doesn't get much run time.
Any help would be appreciated as to what I might try.

clean out the insides with alcohol,
get rid of any excess lubricant (that could be creating a short circuit),
remove any battery corrosion residues,
and very lightly clean the end of the battery tube with fine emery paper
(in case oxidation is preventing proper contact)

Try again with a new battery
I hope it works.

if all else fails, buy a backup of your choosing

I suggest a Lumintop Tool AA... as a possible alternative

Thanks but didn't seem to help. I would like a comparable size and comparable output light to this light using a standard alkaline battery. Open to opinions.

given what I like, I would go with the AA Tool, in copper.. also available in Titanium, and Aluminium.
