where is everyone buying the jetbeam c-le? I checked emillions site and nothing. did a google search and nothing but candlepowerforums results. how does the c-le compare to the mkIIx I have?

I think Im gonna pull the trigger on the jet beam MK IIX.

Im a bit concrerned about customs fees though since im in Canada. Any Canadians ever order from here and did you have to pay taxes/ duty/ brokerage fees?

Im wondering if they will keep a low declared value for me so I dont pay anything when it arrives.

Anyone know if there is a Canadian Dealer for this light?

I ordered one on Feb. 28. If you can wait I'll update you on the duty/taxes.
No Canadian Dealer as far as I know.

Hey just to let you know I got the light today.
I haven't opened it yet and don't have time to try it out right now until maybe the weekend (also waiting for batteries from AW).

There was no customs or duty fees. They marked it down to $25. Packaging was in a simple bubble mailer and there are some dents on the flashlight package. I've taken some quick pictures found here if you were interested.

i finially gave up on emil and my 3 cle's. i ordered them january 15, and he emailed me saying they would likely ship on feb 10th. gave up last week, and disputed the mastercard to get my 100 bucks back. never a word from him in over a month, after 3 or 4 emails to him....NO THANKS

That's really poor service/communication.

I think I told you that should wait a bit longr for you C-LE's in another post, seems you've waited long enough. Hope you can find something else to replace the light you wanted.

My experience is exactly like oldolds442. I ordered the same date and have never received anything from Emillion. I was stupid enough to have purchased 2 Jetbeam CE's and payed via cash paypal, so after this long wait I have absolutely no recourse and no lights to show for my money spent. I also sent Emillion several emails and just finally received a response letting me know that if I didn't receive the lights which he probably never shipped then its my problem not his. Several members here have received lights that have defective threads, and others myself and oldold442, have received nothing at all. I'm not sure which is worse a light that doesnt work or nothing. Its been 2 months now since I ordered and I have accepted the fact that I made a terrible mistake by ordering from Emillion.
I wonder how many others here have been taken and are too embarrased to speak up. I am posting here my experience which mirrors oldolds442 in hopes that it may encourage those considering a Jetbeam to at least be aware of the risks involved. It is my opinion that there are too many good choices in lights and dealers here on CPF to accept this level of service, and possibly nothing at all.

Wow. Thanks for the head's up on that.

I've never understood why a retailer would treat a customer that way. He's got to understand that the short-term profit cannot possibly out-weigh the long-term effects of decent custom service. Especially in the interweb age with its near-instantaneous word-of-mouth. It wobbles the mind.

Ah, well. I'll simply make sure my money goes a reputable dealer!

Saltwater,

You really shouldn't imply that emil never shipped your light - if there's one thing he is, it's honest about if he shipped an item or not.

While I do not know what part of the world you're in, you had multiple shipping options including 3 that included a tracking number. Surprisingly, sometimes packages do in fact get lost going from one side of the world to the other.

Next time, don't cheap out on the shipping - I paid the extra $2 for registered air mail, and could track the package (if I had been given the correct tracking number- but that's another issue entirely, one digit was transcribed incorrectly)

after waiting 2 months and terrible communications, i just had enough!!! I know that i wont order anything else from him. all he had to do is keep track of everybody and let them know what is going on....i would have had more patience and understanding if he would have let me know. when i order something online, i am hyped up and want it asap. after 2 months, anticipation turns into anger...

MYK,
I believe that I chose one of the tracking options. I have of course made several attempts at obtaining a tracking number. None of this matters now as I have no tracking number and its too late for any recourse on my part.

A show of hands of those that still think it would be great to order from Emil...

Not me, and I am a newly minted Flashoholic who is keeping his wallet at bay.

That little light seemed cool, too.

then I apologize for my bad assumption, and am sorry for your loss of the light

if it makes you feel any better - the lights not very bright at all, fenix l1d-ce blows it away
