I have had one of those tenergy 3.0v li-ion charger battery sets for a couple of months now. Today the charger is not working right. I put the batteries in and plug it in and the light just blinks from green to red. When it is doing this the light on the power supply also blinks from bright to dim at the same pace the charger blinks. When I hook it to the power supple for my c9000 the charging light turns orange and slowly fades to green. I assume the charger is boned but was wondering if anyone else has seen this happen.

Now I can upgrade to some aw batteries atleased.

Are you trying to charge this Li-ion battery in your Maha C9000 ?

If so, I don't think it is possible....as the unit is designed for NiMh/NiCads.

No I am not trying to charge the batteries in the c9000. I used the power supply from the c9000.

Can anyone recommend a replacement charger. Maybe one that can also charge regular 3.7v li-ion. I am searching right now to find one on this site so don't tell me to search for it.

I am striking out on searching for a good comparison for li-ion chargers that aren't hobby chargers. All I have found is negative for every charger out there.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure about 3V chargers since most are for 3.7V cells. For 3.7V cells, people like the Pila charger. I am just getting started and like the little DealExtreme Universal charger, sku 14885. It is $5.81 shipped. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, using it to charge 10440's for my iTP A3, but it always stops below 4.2V (4.15ish). Others have recommended it too.

Just out of curiosity, (NO INSULT INTENDED!):
  1. What is the OUTPUT of the TENERGY charger? (i.e. xxVDC @ yymA)
    .
  2. What is the OUTPUT of the MAHA charger?
    .
  3. Are they CLOSE?
    .
  4. Is the POLARITY of the OUTPUT plugs IDENTICAL? (i.e. Center POSITIVE, Shell NEGATIVE)
A POPULAR, and usually SUCCESSFUL ;), method of troubleshooting is PART SUBSTITUTION. *BUT*, substituting an INCOMPATIBLE part is not a good idea... :poof: ;)

Polarity and voltage are the same.

I have tried getting a hold of tenergy to get a replacement and so far they haven't emailed me back. Probably going to have to call them or write it off.
