Incredible.

My new SF G3 has got a beam that is (in the words of another forum member in either CPF or DefensiveCarry.com) stupid bright :sick2:. 105 lumens is noticibly more powerful than a G2, with a little more throw. And once again -- you've gotta love that nitrolon feel :naughty:. Although not as substantial as a Type II finish, you know you can abuse the nitrolon and it'll keep on ticking .

Overall, best $59 bucks ever spent. Definitely.

Anybody else like the new G3?

I'm looking at getting a G3 with the P91 to keep in the car for emergencies.
How does this beam pattern (G3 X P91) compare to that of the G2L ?

Yes, I am a fan of the new G3. CPFers have been asking for this light for at least 4 years. It is great to finally see it available. Next we just need a nitrolon turbohead! Here's another chorus of happy G3 owners: http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=176008

The G3 produces a whiter light more suitable to catch the details of things youre looking at. Really good for searches, for example. Although I love my 6PL (and my father has a G2L), the blueish tint makes it hard to see detail after about 40-45 feet. And the G3 is noticeably brighter than the G2 or p60L module. I guess now I have to get the P91, keep that on the light for duty use, with a extra p90 in the spares carrier for longer runtime.

If 105 lumens is stupid bright, I'll be amazed to see how bright my 225 lumen T1 will be. Unfortunately, I won't be getting any more flashlights until I get ahold of one of those 200+mW green lasers that there is a GB for. I can't afford that, so I will have to save up. I much more want a powerful greenie than another light.

Run that G3 and P90 LA with two 17500's and you will be seeing closer to 200 lumens, and average will probably be 150 lumens.
