Hi All /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Just wondering what you carry on your keyrings these days ? What different configurations you use and any new and interesting gadgets that you can tell us about.

Posting images like the one below would be cool if you have the resources.

Thanks for your time.

BTW: If you've any qu's about my setup -fire away /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Keyring 2 (separate from keyring 1 for complicated reasons): Arc LS, 1 key

Keyring 3 (infrequently used): bunch of keys, cheap LED coin cell light (white LED)

tardis, cool belt clip. Where can I get one? And what's in the black leather case?

Here's mine. The setups on the left and right are worn on opposite sides on my belt. The razor knife is rarely carried. Everything else is EDC. House and car key not shown. The black object on the left is a laser pointer. The round object is a pill case. The items on lanyards hand inside my pockets or inside the waistband depending on type of pants worn.

gyverpete,

The belt clip is made by Victorinox. They're very good, strong and secure but very hard to find these days. I found mine in tiny shop in Bangkok. The only place I've seen them on the web is at www.pizzini.at under Swiss Army Knives, then Cases / Chains. I think they sell for 6.50 Euros +PP

The black leather holster is also made by Victorinox and is designed to hold something like a Vic Manager, as in my pic above. They come with a clip and can be attatched to a keyring. Good if you don't want to get your knife scratched. The fastening is velcro - makes for easy detachment with no unclipping etc. Actually I may try to adapt/stretch one a fraction so it would hold my Arc AAA - it's a perfect fit diameter wise, but just a tad to short length wise.

If you're interested in getting either of the above, let me know. The place in Bangkok sells them pretty cheap. I'm English by the way..not Thai /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And I'm guessing you've watched at least a few episodes of Doctor Who.

You folks will probably be quite bored with my keyring...

There it is! I try for something relatively small for ease of pocketability, etc., though my wife still things I've got too much junk on it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

What you see in the above image consists of three keys, car remote control, Swisstool, generic knife (half-serrated, half-straight blade, razorlike sharpness, great for slicing articles of interest from pages), and of course a Photon II. Nothing fancy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If I want more light than the Photon II provides, I'll typically toss something else in either my pocket or my backpack, depending on size of the light. If I'll need serious tools, I'll grab my toolbox. The keyring stuff is intended for quick-and-dirty use in a compact package.

The most interesting thing of all might be the keyring itself, which is an oversized split ring that allows everything to hang nicely off it and gives a nice feel when worn over my finger ring-style, to keep me from dropping it when jogging across a parking lot, etc.

You other folks with your piles o' pocketstuffs, are just plain crazy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

A few, but that's not the reason for my nickname. The reason is that I'm bigger on the inside than on the out ! i.e. i like my food /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks, tardis. I'll let you know if I can't find the clip locally. I see on the "AAA deploy" thread, you got the AAA to fit the holster. Very nice!

I have a SwissTech UtiliKey and a white Photon II, on a ring with 5 keys. I like to travel light.
Had the Swiss Micro Tool and it broke while trying to loosen a small nut. Don't trust them anymore.
