I like the grip texture on this light. I haven't handled one but it looks very practical and well done.

Re: Klarus G15vn - Most Compact USB 21700

Pretty straight forward 21700 compact.

Re: Klarus G15vn - Most Compact USB 21700

I Think a quad w2 would be nice. No quad 21700 this compact with usb charging yet.

Re: Klarus G15vn - Most Compact USB 21700

The Acebeam EC65 quad is super compact too. Is this actually smaller than the EC65?

How is the UI like on this thing. Klarus does not provide info on the UI.

Oh crap I forgot about the ec65vn. But I have a great feeling this light will pump out more output with a quad. Ec65vn It's quite under driven.

Re: Klarus G15vn - Most Compact USB 21700

The specs put the G15 at 120.6mm long, 27.6mm head and 25.3mm body/tail, 2.45oz. Micro USB.

The EC65 is 114.5mm long, 30mm head and 27mm body/tail, 2.9oz. A little shorter, fatter and heavier than the G15 with USB-C

I like the look of the G15 a little better but the USB-C on the EC65 is nice too.

Quad XHP35 HI EC65vn is $40 more expensive with no battery included but same output and twice the intensity.

Emphasis mine. I have been thinking about the Ec65vn on and off for a long time, but I yearn for a lot more driven. :)

Re: Klarus G15vn - Most Compact USB 21700

It seems like XPL HI's would be a better choice for the EC65 considering how AB is driving the XHP's. Dunno..

Re: Klarus G15vn - Most Compact USB 21700

did i read the factory specs right .
turbo 4000 lumens for a whoppping 5 seconds?

I have an EC65vn with Samsung 4000K high cri LEDs. It's one of my absolute favorite lights. The optics essentially produce one giant hotspot. I primarily use it on my mountain bike, but as long as I don't need a lot of throw or excessive lumens, it's one of the best all around lights I own.

I didn't even realized I ordered this light from BatteryJunction during BF and was so surprised when I received it. The light does look good and very compact like an 18650 light. Output is good but you get the typical XHP50.2 corona and tint shift. Here are my measurements using the Texas Ace lumen tube measured at 2 seconds.

It's the brightest single cell rechargeable XHP70.2 I've tested yet but it starts to ramp down at about 5-7seconds, which is reasonable given the small mass. I just wish it had USB-C instead of micro USB. There is a separate ground wire next to the mcpcb. Not sure what that is for. Voltage across the + and - leads is about 6V.
