Re: L6 brightness?-purchasing

Being distributor or dealers for products that are well-channelled internationally like SF, local distributor/dealers should be protected from grey marketeering. However, for product like Tiger Light, they don't even have distributor/dealers overseas (or on particular country), I don't see why they can't ship product to those countries.

Our product are distributed in several countries but if some distributor could sell to countries that we don't have establishment or channel there, they'd be more than welcome to sell.

Yclo, I don't have L5/L6 and don't plan to get one yet as I have a McModule PR, Mclux PR w X3T (one more to come /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif) and soon Mclux PR w LSIII in DB1000, I don't see the role of L5/L6 except for collection purpose.

I would get L5 if it supports 3 Cells for longer runtime but it doesn't:-( L6 simply too "huge" for me to be EDC. For carryable (not EDC) 5W, I don't think L6 could beat my MR-X and Mega-X. It's "possible" that even a 3W w DB1000 on Mclux might beat L6 for throw.

SF does have a Norwegian distributor (atleast on paper), but availability here is very poor. If I hadnt found cpf & the US web shops that ship internationally I would still only have my two first SF lights. The few dealers that sell SF only carry 2-3 models of the personal series, and have very little knowledge. When I bought my KL1 and later my A2 the local dealers had never even heard about them. And then we have the local prices, there is no competition here since there is problably less than 5 places in Norway that sells SF, and only 2 in Oslo (our capital). I paid US$340 for my M3 (which is the last light I bought locally), The 10x have a list price of about US$710 (!).
If/when(?) SF stops webshops my only real options left is CPF BST forum or organize something privately with a US citizen.

Re: L6 brightness?-purchasing

Hello Gentlemen,

TW would happily ship overseas, but we are forbidden to do so by our suppliers. SureFire, for example, has USA Authorized Dealers sign an annual contract. In that contract, it clearly states that we are not allowed to ship their products outside the USA. If we violated our contract, we would surely be cut off.

I wish we could help our fellow CPFers outside the USA, but we have contracts to live by. If these rules are ever relaxed, we'll be among the first to begin international shipping. Global FedEx, of course! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dan, what about Tiger light? I placed order for a couple of Tiger lights to you less than a month the product become available in the market and was told that Tiger Light doesn't allow you to ship overseas. I thought Tiger Light thought that the newly startup is as well-established as SF or SL and has worldwide channels:-)

Re: L6 brightness?-purchasing

Hello Alan,
TW takes TigerLight orders from any part of the world now. TigerLight will ship anywhere for TW - I just pay them a little extra for their trouble. Would you like a TigerLight?

Our website is programmed to receive payments from the USA only unless you use PayPal. We had to make this change, because out-of-country customers would place large SureFire orders and we kept having to refund their money. You are always welcome to send TW a direct PayPal to any of our e-mail addresses.

Spectre, that's one of the problem that supplier doesn't enforce their dealers to carry full range of models (may be in smaller qty on less demand model). Although Supreme is the biggest SF distributor for the Far East, they don't carry A19 (extension tube). I was stuck with that:-(

Re: L6 brightness?-purchasing

Alan, I bought an A19 in Ap Liu Street.

Yes, I would like a Tigerlight with OC. BUT HK laws forbids any civilian to own OC.

Re: L6 brightness?-purchasing

Ok. $120 from bulldogenterprises.com. Has anyone seen it for less? Please let me know. Thank you in advance for your time.

Re: L6 brightness?-purchasing

120 for the L4 is very cheap already. Most stores sell for more. Even stores on here cost way more than 120. Go with bulldog, I only have good things to say about them.
