After a couple of decades, the bulb failed - the ceramic at the tips crumbled. This is the type with a 300W or even 500W bulb.

I see the current worklights seem to be the same form factor, with an LED panel in the frame.

So do they make a drop-in so I don't have to throw away the perfectly good hardware?

Otherwise I might treat myself to a Ryobi battery operated light. But they are overly expensive for the small amount of use it will get.

Good question, at least in theory. If such a device existed, I'd buy several of them!
