It's kind of frustrating to me that I compiled a whole bunch of FAQs and put them in the Welcome Mat to answer these exact sorts of questions, and it's all but invisible to the new members who need it most. I wonder when my effort will stop being wasted.
Your right, you might try...
1. Post some links to it in response to questions:

2. Call it FAQ, Not 'Wecome Mat', no one is using google to look for 'Welcome Mat'.
3. Ask some Moderator(s) if they will make it a sticky in the Flashlight Forums (LED or General) so that people can fid it.
4. Maybe you can use some information in this thread to update your FAQ and once a few more people see it (via link in boring thread), they too will start posting it.
Good Luck, I'm really surprised CPF does not have a comprehensive FAQ.
