This is the first mod I'm proud of
The original was a 3W Luxeon with a hitech regulator (½ Ohm resistor!) run by 3 C alkalines. It had one redeming feature, wether the batteries was brand new or very old the light was always dim :mecry:
So yesterday I desited to mod it.
Out with the original and crappy acrylig lens and blue silicone band, and in with a glass lens and a decent OP reflector. Just minor machining to make it fit.
Now on the the first major mod.
Designing and fabricating a new "heatsink" for a SSC P7. No regulation so something like 7-16W dictated by the Voltage of the LiIon.
A hitech tool for dismantling the heatsink.
Next on was a new body instead of filling blanks in the old in order to use just one LiIon instead of 3 alks.
