Leef Grip on a Tiablo A9

Well I picked up a Tiablo A9 ( My first "thrower" as it were) and did not like the rubber anti roll grip. So I took a Leef Grip (earmarked for a 6P like build) and put it on. I had to open up the ID a little so it would fit and then I reduced to overall length of battery tube buy a few thousandths so that the tail cap would come down to lock the grip in place.

This was quasi critical as the flashlight makes electrical contact through this surface so taking too much off would have made the connection not work. I could have overcome this by removing some anodizing on the threads but I chose not to.

I put a couple of O rings under the Leef Grip just to support the grip as the ring on the Leef grip is somewhat thin. I also retained the "rubber band" as well.

All in all I like it better than the rubber grip that came with the Tiablo. The color is close enough for me.

And here we have obligatory pics.

As compared to my Leef tubed 6P build up (also with Leef Grip)

Good job  Looks like it was made that way. Nice photos too.

The Leef Grip really does look like it was made for the Tiablo. When I first saw them I rather thought that the usefulness was secondary to function. NOT true at all. They help a great deal.
