How many AW's Li-Ion C Cells would be required or can be used to power up these SF LAs: MN15, MN20, MN21?

2 cells. the lion rechargables also overdrive the those lamps. check the custom bst forum for the big leef project. its a aw c lion body with m series head

Yeah, I've ordered a 3C body. Hoping that it would work.

Hmm overdrive. Will I "kill" the lamps then?

Yes you will blow the lamp out with 3 AW C cells. Those are 9 volt lamps. Using the li ions(overdrive) will result in a shorter bulb life than primaries. But you get a brighter light!

3 CR123= 9 volts

2 lion C= around 8 volts but the lions dont sage under a load as much as the CR123s do. so you are actually overdriving the lamp.

You could probably safely use three C li-ions with the MN60. I would not use that setup with the MN61 as I'm fairly certain it would instaflash.

Will it it be significantly shorter?

Im not sure. But I wouldnt worry about.

A lamp like the MN16 is so much brighter and whiter on Li-Ions thats is well worth the cost.

depends on the bulb.

Because the LOLA style lamps have a target voltage of like 7.5-7.7V and the HOLA lamps have a target voltage like 6.6-6.8V. The LOLA style lamps will see SOME overdrive from li-ion cells, while HOLA lamps tend to see a LOT.

My estimated life of the following bulbs on 2x "C" li-ion ....
MN15: 15-30 hours
MN20: 15-30 hours
MN21: 5-20 hours
