So, I contacted Fenix directly about the input voltage spec for the L1T V2 Q2 and recieved and interesting reply:
Has anybody actual had an issue (failure, malfunction, etc) while using a 14500 li-ion in their L1T v2.0 q2? It would seem very feasible (and in fact I've done it for short periods without issue), but I really don't want to see a $45 light go
Joyce from Fenixlight.com said:Hello Josh
Thank you very much for using Fenix light.
The L1T V2.0 can work with 14500, but as manufacturer, we don't suggest the customer use it in this model, because it will possibly affect the LED and circuit if you use for a long time. For the absolute safety, we recommend you use the 1.5v – 1.7v battery.
Any more question, feel free to contact.
Best regards!
Sincerely Joyce
