2 Packs of unsold C-size (baby) batteries were spotted in the local Lidl store at 3.49 EUR including VAT per double pack. Manufacturing date: 2016/05. Eures GmbH, Reiffeisenstraße 30, 70794 Filderstadt, Germany.

Curious as I am, I calibrated and adjusted my SkyRC MC3000 for both voltage and current. Then I changed the discharge/charge cycle program to -2mV delta V charging at 0.80A and discharging at -0.40A, charge resting: 150 minutes, discharge resting: 150 minutes, cycle count: 5 cycles, cycle mode: D>C (discharge-charge), target voltage: 1.65V, delta peak: 2mV, trickle charge: off, trickle time: off, restart voltage: off, discharge reduce: off, (discharge) cut voltage: 0.90V, cut temperature: 45ºC, cut time: off.

This example shows, cycling of new batteries is for the monkeys. Hardly 1% capacity gain after 4 days in the charger.
