Lifetime test of 5mm led??

Have anyone done test like that.I try to find report like that,and i did found one.But do you know is there some test made for the lifetime for 5mm led

Cpf member Newbie tested SMJLED2 PR2 bulb that uses a 5 mm led. He found out that the led loses its lumens very fast probably because of overdriving and inadequate heatsinking, see this thread.

But I do not know if there is a test of the lifetime of a 5mm led under normal conditions. :shrug: Have you had a look on manufacturer datasheets?

Well...5mm led might be good in some places.But the storyes about 100000hrs are really storyes.I had that feeling all the time, but just need something to back me up. Here in Finland they are making even streetlights from that 5mm leds. And im kind of alone with my thoughts...But not anymore.Thanks for that!!
