I see references to Energizer L91 lithium AA's here all the time. Is the L91 a particular lithium?

I've never bought any lithiums but have looked at them on the shelf. I've seen some that advertise "Lasts 2X Longer", some "Lasts 4X Longer" and even some that "Last 8X Longer". Is one of these the fabled L91 or are they something different all together? What do I look for to get the L91's?

Energizer used to make only one L91 AA lithium battery. There have been several 'improvements' made along the way and with the last 'improvement' it seems they made a marketing decision to make their newest and latest the greatest premium version (Ultimate) and the previous generation is now the budget version (Advanced).

You should do a search. There have been several discussions on these cells. I love them, but limit their use to specific applications. They would be a complete overkill and a waste of money in many applications, like TV remotes.

They are also available in the L92 (AAA) size.
