Requirements (not mine for someone else)

1. 2AA simply because it is a longer light....she wants it to be around 6"
2. Single Stage or at most 2 stages with head twist ect. But prefer single stage on and off simplicity.
3. Side switch if possible (but this is not the limiting factor)
4. Under $50
5. Im not opposed to a small mod (like minimag with LED drop-in) if someone has reccomendations on that.

Thanks a bunch, Ive found a couple lights that fit this requirement, im just a little concerned about the quality of what ive found...

Fenix L2T would fit the bill.

Fenix Store should get them back in stock in a few weeks

David said they would put them on the site once they had confirmation they had shipped from Asia.

Good to know :) a great comparible at almost 1/3 of the price... could get her a second just for the off chance of needing parts

Streamlight Polypro 2AA LED

I tried this 2AA Propoly LED, maybe I got a bad one because it had the worst purple beam, filled with artifacts, that I'd seen in a long time.

And it was very dim, nothing like its bigger brother the 4AA Propoly Luxeon.

The emitter looked exactly like the one in the RiverRock 2AAA half watt LED sold at Target.

Even the 1AAA MicroStream had more output with a much nicer beam.

StreamLight makes some nice lights, perhaps this one was a complete dud that slipped through QC.

I have 4 ProPly 2AA Leds and the beams seem fine to me - don't have any of the others to compare with. Use them with Eneloops for all types of general usage
