BTW it has a cree R2 pill in it now:)

This Solarforce host is the cheapest I know, while still maintaining a high level of quality and reliability.

thats pretty slick!

how long does it take to get one in if i order it? does it ship fromoverseas?

anyone got any other hosts that might be a little more but look a little nicer?

i was thinking about a CL1H style light, but i dont want to spend the cash on the light when i already got a decent drop in sittin here.

WHOA!! OP, thats not an SST-50, its an XR-E module you got there.

I think you should first double check if your pill is even optimal for a single cell. I hope you didn't buy it, intending for it to be an SST-50.

It says SST-50 W65S meaning 6500k tint.

sorry guys!

this is a D26 module i got from nailbender,

it had a SST in it which promptly came out and went into my DBS (its KILLER!!)

now what i have left, which is in the picture, is the stock R2 that came out of the DBS+ the D26 drop in that came with the SST50 pill :) the way i see it, why let it go to waste;)

any other suggestions for a cheap host?

EDIT: oh ya whats the diff between the L2 and the L2P?

Have you seen this list?

P60 Flashlight List {host}

I agree with Kramer about the Solarforce L2 being a good host and Jake25 is a good dealer.

A couple of years ago, I bought several Ultrafire 502B flashlights - you did say "cheap." They were OK for $10. I think I have read that they look similar to a CL1H. I have also read complaints about the switches, though I never had any problems with the four I bought. I replaced the switch in two of them with McClicky switches, because I like forward clickies.

If you want something under $20, I would go with a Romisen M4. You may want to reconsider your investment since you can buy a great HA-III host for about $50 that will last for many years. Remember that a quality host is upgradeable with new D26/P60 modules, and it will save a ton of money over the long haul.

I was going to start a tread weeks ago, asking if anyone put a nailbender SST-50 into a DBS,
did you use the SMO reflector?,..whats the beam like?..:twothumbs

For hosts, the L2 is popular & inexpensive,..but there are also many others.}
