Looking for a Solarforce head for my M951XM07

I got an awesome deal on on a used M951XM07 less the tape switch. I'll buy one soon, I hope. Kinda expenive right now. Looks like THE light to put on my black rifle. I want to drop in a Solarforce head, seems like I should be able to far surpass the Surefire capabilities for a great price. I don't know which head I need, though. I bought a Solarforce L2 last month, and am very impressed with it. Please, Light Doctors, can you help me ID the proper part?

I think the Surefire L951xm07 is a E-series weaponlight.

If that is the case. I would suggest you decide what you want because you can put a Malkoff Devices VME bezel and then get his XP-G P60 drop-in or his MC-E P60 drop-in.

You can have 250 or close to 500 lumens with a mere bezel swap.


If you want to use that Solarforce bezel on that body then you need an E to C adaptor, which I had and don't like. They add unwanted lenght and size.

Do you want throw light or flood light ?

What is your budget as the MC-E P60 drop-in is $133 delivered plus you need the VME bezel too.

I'm with you on the weight and size issue, I'm looking fir the drop in that gives me more light. I think for this use, that flood is better (for me) than throw. I plan on using this on my shorty carbine - other tools for other uses....
