Looking for wide-angle diffuser for Powerlight

Greetings all,

I've got a 24W powerlight, and its marvelous. However, I go walking with the wife and kids and would prefer a bit more wide angled flood-lighting and less of the 2-mile searchlight. I was considering making a frosted glass to put over the front - one I can flip out of the way easily for regular viewing.

Anyone sell these or got any recommendations? Its got to take the heat, whatever its made from!

Thanks

Dean

I don't have an answer, but I'll tell you what won't work: diffuser films. They'll make your beam more even, but not more wide.

Dean,

My pleasure. :)

It's the #1 accessory we recommend and sell for the Powerlights becuase it fundamentally extends their functionaility, particulary for search & rescue type operations and any sort of indoors application like arson investigation, etc.

Hey Matt - is the blue forensic filter frosted or clear? If its clear, can it be used with the wide angle filter at the same time?

I ordered one also, just for fun.

Clear - all of the filters except for the diffuser are clear. They're not intended to be used in conjunction but I think you could probably remove the diffser from it's holder then slide the blue lense over it. It's not intended to be used that way and I haven't tested it but I think it will work.
