So anyhow, I've found my L1T v2Q2 to be just about perfect in brightness, size, runtime, etc...buttt the color and depth redition of the led leaves something to be desired.

So I'm thinking about a rechargable incan with approx similar output to the L1Tv2 on low (what is it, 15-20 lumens?). Li-ion or NiMH, but probably nimh due to costs. 1 or two cells, two prefered due to my charging setup.

For reference, a 2AA minimag on 2xAA nimh isn't bright enough, but my SF G2 in stock configuration is definate over kill. Any ideas? Right now all I got for incan's are my G2, a minimag on 2AA nimh and a UK on 2AAA nimh.

Pretty hard to find an incan light that only uses one/two AA's. My suggestion's are Pelican 2400 StealthLite and Streamlight Propoly 4AA. Both can be run on Nimh's and are capable of surviving WWIII. More suggestions/info will come from other members.

Energizer hard-case 2AA w/mag 2 cell xenon.

[edit in]...
(or any 2AA light with PR base that you like)...

On good NIMH cells, a 2 cell mag xenon bulb should burn right around 15-20 lumens give or take.
