So I am ordering a few of these for use in a 3D P7 that I want to live by the back door without running down after some time not being used. Anybody know anything about them?
What rate may I charge them at? I was going to connect them with some rare earth magnets, and use charging leads to charge all three at once with my BC-6. This'll work, right? I just don't know much about LSD niMH cells, and don't know how fast I can charge them.

Thanks!

Oh, these are the cells.

I've been looking into LSD D-size cells too and the Accupower ones seem to be pretty well regarded compared to others. Unfortunately, they cost a fortune to have posted to Australia :(

Off topic: Why do US things cost so much in AU? It would be cheaper for me to buy them here and then ship them to you rather than you buying from that site. It shouldn't be since the retailer is buying in bulk and having it shipped all at once from the US.
Probably import tariffs and VATs.

This is what they print on the D battery label:

Standard Charge
12hr/900mA

Rapid Charge
5hr/2000mA, -delta V: 5mV

I just put mine in a Maha MH-C808M.

Hi there,

Yes, i had to ship some chips to Au a while back and wow i couldnt believe
the price for UPS and Priority mail from the US to Au. I did notice however
that first class shipping isnt that bad, sort of.
Perhaps you can find a site that will ship first class? Just a thought.

Or, someone else here on CPF can order the stuff for you and you can
pay them, but then another problem comes up which i found out. That is,
the price to exchange the Au dollars to US dollars is out of this worldly high.
I couldnt believe it really. A check could cost 50 dollars just to convert
to US dollars. I couldnt believe it. The only option seemed to be to use
a Paypal account to pay the US person. That would mean you would have
to find someone here that lives in the US that would be willing to order and
then send the order to you. Could still end up costing twice the shipping
cost however, sorry.

That really depends on your bank. My bank (Suntrust Bank) allows me to deposit checks written in other currencies without any charge into my checking account. They use the exchange rate at the close of the previous business day.

Hi again,

Mind if i ask what state you are located in?
I checked a few other banks around here too and they all said the same
thing, but that's not one of them and im not sure if we have one around here.

Still, if you wanted to do the other CPF member a service you could probably
accept payment by check then with no problem.

BTW, i am in New Jersey (unfortunately ha ha).
