Hey, folks!
I've got my first LSH-P today /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif - and it's very nice - a lot better than KL1 and BB400 Q3L I have. Where do they take those bright white LEDS from? Anyway, how do I know which LED I have in it? Bin etc... It's bright and white, allright, but still - just wondering...
Thanks!
Michael.

I believe ARC stop providing this information. I was told there used to be stated in a "QC paper".

The last that I heard on it was that the premiums are P and Q flux, while the standards are M and N flux. I think that as time goes on there are fewer Ps and more Qs -- just a subjective impression.

I have two objective data: My LSH-P had a QC slip that said Q4J. When I compared lux readings with those of my standard (which had no QC slip), it was exactly two bins lower, definitely an N bin.

You could take a poll of LS premium owners, but I think it would end up being biased. The P-bin owners would be less likely to participate than the Q-bin owners.

I don't know how to check itm but one thing is for sure - I have a BB Q3L LED and my LSH-P is brighter and whiter.
Does it mean something? Except that I love the Light...
Michael.

I have BB400/Q3L and LSHP w/ Q4J. Under certain circumstances, the slightly blueish Arc can appear whiter when it really is that touch of cool blue that makes it look "clearer", if you understand what I mean. As far as brighter, I agree, but I think it's the high vs. low dome on the LS that's responsible for that.
