LumaPower M1 Cree review: FlashlightReviews.com

Sweet! Always nice to see one of Doug's reviews. I wonder if you can use 2x 3.6v RCR123s?

I happened to browse thru the review before I see this thread, thanx for the review!

Thanks for the review doug. This light looks as impressive as any light on the market in terms of being 100% useful. Over 90 lumens on the 18650 for over 4 hours of runtime and 25 lumens for over 25 hours! That gives either a very bright light for a decently long time or a decently bright light for a very long runtime. Seems very practical as well as nice looking!

Good mouse over. That's a nice thing to add to a review. I really like the textured reflector. If Fenix adds the textured reflector to their new lights, I'll buy one.

Thanks for the great review, Doug! And yes: The mouse-over idea is a terrific help.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to go for this light and, if so, whether to wait for the 1A version or get the current one.

Doug,

Great review as usual.
I love the mouse over feature.
It enabled me to see the very subtle differences in the edge of the corona where the smooth reflector was actually brighter

Take Care,

Doug,

Thanks for your M1 review. It confirms, by your usual high quality and objective standards, what we owners have been experiencing---this is a heckuva light.

I am curious about one thing---why no throw numbers on an 18650 cell? My eyeball estimate is that they are very close to the CR123A figures, but always nice to see it in print from The Man. :grin2:

Doug - another awesome review. I'm glad to see your still making such great contributions to the community. Do you have any plans on testing a Huntlight FT-01 Cree for comparison? The Huntlight and Lumapower are seem almost identical in potential performance, price, etc.

Yes, thanks for the new review. I just got into your site a couple of months ago and i've been hoping to see your take on how the latest compare.

Glad you all enjoy the review.

I misplaced the throw numbers for the 1850 - they're on a scrap of paper somewhere.... I'll find them.

I should have a Huntlight on the way some time soon.

Quickbeam,

my heartfelt thanks for all your work in reviewing the M1, and of course for the staggering work that went into reviewing hundreds of lights already. I constantly refer to your site.

One question: you mention 115 lumens on high for the CR123A, but what is the figure on low?

thanks again, looking forward to the reviews of the various Fenix CREE'd lights!

(please, include PD1CE, L1D CE at the very least, lower priority the L2D CE - until they come out with the 2xAA tube that can fit the L1D CE in any event!).
