This is the version I was so curious about. Is something like this still in the works?
We have 3 tiny OP reflector pushing 20Kcd each is actually an impressive feet IMO. There are single LED lights with much bigger reflector that doesn't push 60Kcd and Definitely not close to 9000L. I guess 100Kcd and 12,000L would be much nicer rounded numbers we can dream for but asking a single 40T to do that is not yet feasible.

9000 lumens and 60 kcd is not bad. I would have guessed 75 kcd. I still think if you can put a d4s reflector in there, that would be my fav option. 4x w2.1 for 4400 lumens and 100 kcd.
Or when they come out with the single reflector, a single sbt 90 will do similar performance. I wonder which of the two would create less heat.

I gave the other light that you mention much thought, but it is 41% heavier without battery than this light, without battery. The 26650 cell vs the 21700 cell weight will make the other light that much heavier than this light. But, on 47th thought, it would be nice to add to my collection.
The more I compare specs of different lights, the more I think about needing a turn on, two second and 30 second lumen and throw spec converter.

mt62092, thank you and yes, I'm aware of the output of the triple SBT90 however, it seems I may have been the only person who was waiting for a single emitter, single reflector FW21vn, based on the comments that I've quoted, yet again with emphasis in red this time.
With regards to the triple SBT90, the throw is actually slightly higher that what I would have expected. The fact that this light can hit 60Kcd with three, small, OP reflectors is a testament to the magic of this emitter. The lumen output is a little less than I expected but I can understand it based on a single cell's limited ability to deliver enough current to three SBT90's.
I was expecting a FW21vn single emitter, single reflector putting out 4500L and somewhere north of 150Kcd, again based on the thread discussion. In any case, the triple is a great light but I was looking for a thrower that beat the other 39-40mm head lights.
Will a d4s reflector be a option soon? I want a quad 2.1 4500 100+kcd fw21provn.

That's exciting. Looks like they didn't change the protruding clip issue. I'm kinda spectacle that the sbt90 will throw better than the d4svn. The reason so is because emisar has a Olson version on this kr1 and its only doing 100kcd. How is the d4s with tir reflector doin 115 kcd with w2? It's same size head. I wonder which route will be cheaper as well? Plus I also like the fact that the pro21vn uses a 21700. If a pro21vn with a d4svn quad tir reflector with w2's is cheaper or similar price, I think I would choose that route. Unless they do something bizarre with the reflector, this is why the kr1vn90 will out throw the D4Svn...

I have a stock FW21 Pro (NOT Wayne's vn version). Does anyone know what the color temp is with the XHP50.2 emitters in this? 5000k? Or 6500k?
The color temp is ok for me, but my only quibble with the XHP50.2 is the green corona around the hotspot is a little irksome, though it isn't terribly bothersome - generally only noticeable when white wall hunting. But I do appreciate minor improvements, when I can get them.
Is there another emitter option, to mod this light with, to get rid of the green corona, but still retain reasonably high, cool white, lumen levels? Would XP-L emitters work well in place of the XHP50.2 emitters?
I don't care if I can't hit 10,000 lumens on turbo. For the most part, I would use the light within the ramp range, only using turbo very briefly on occasion.
