This time the deer were at least 75 yards – no zoom on the camera and very difficult to hold steady. The red light you see in the upper left hand corner is a reflector at the edge of a home backing up to the woods at the edge of the soccer field. The deer are in those woods – I am outside the fence on the OTHER side of the soccer field – so you have the width of the field plus all the buffer on either side. I'm guessing 75 yards, but it could be more.
The first three photos are taken using the EagleTac M2XC4 with Ultrafire 18650 batteries, fully charged and the light is 'cold' – temp outside is 58 degrees.
The second three are taken with the Jetbeam M1X – same type batteries and same conditions.
One light appears to be the clear winner – you can decide for yourself.
Sorry for the blurriness. The eerie gold lines are the reflections from the deer's eyes as struggle to hold steady with, as always, flashlight in left hand, dog leashes under my arm, and camera in right hand.
