M60 and Which Light Question??

Hey all I was posting this in the thread that just got closed but when it got locked so I guess I'll start a thread asking the same thing in response to pete's post.

My M60 is in a SF C2 on my duty belt. The M60L I got today will be in my auxilliary duty light (SF C3). I currently have an M60LL in there but I want it just a tad brighter. After I got my first M60, I sold both of my BOG drop-ins. There is just no comparison in the quality of construction and beam between the BOG & the M60.

I was leaning toward the BOG because of it having more throw but in the end I felt the Malkoff was a better build and all around drop-in.

Anyway, I got two of the M60's on the way and I have 2-C2's 3-G2's(one's an LED) and a C3. One of the M60's going into one of the C2's and that will be my new EDC, actually taking the place of my L4 which I just ordered and hasn't gotten here yet.

Anyway, sorry to make this long but I'm trying to decide what to do with the other M60. My second C2 stays in my truck as a backup light in-case I lose my EDC or need to loan it to someone. One of the G2's is in a tool box and the other is on my GHB. The C3 is my nightstand light.

One question, if I put it in the C3 like you're going to do will that give me the same output but longer run time?

Also, thoughts on where my second M60 should go with the list I gave would be appreciated.

Use C3 by all means. 3XCR123's or two 17500 LiIon's. Will have much longer runtime than two CR123's at same output.

Sorry to bump an old thread like this but I have a similar question...

I have an M60LL in a G2. I am looking to get a G3 and/or a C3. If I were to put the M60LL into a 3cell light, how much longer runtime could I expect? I believe Gene rates the M60LL as 8hrs of regulated light. I have heard it is 10hrs to 50%.

I plan on using 3x CR123a.

also, if I were to use 2x 17500 Li-Ion's, what would the runtime be like?

What I've read says that 1/3rd more length/mah gets you 1/3rd more run time.

Theoreticals:
SF CR-123a is 700mah x2 = 1400mah
SF CR-123a is 700mah x3 = 2100mah
AW RCR123a is 750mah x3 = 2250mah
AW 17500 is 1100mah x2 = 2200mah

M60 = 1.5 hours -> 2.25 hours
M60L = 4.5 hours -> 6.75 hours
M60LL = 8.0 hours -> 12.00 hours


Actuals:
I have an M60, a 6P, a 9P, and various cells. Now all I need is a charger (in the mail) and an M60LL to do some serious testing.
