I just finished building a Madmax Lite sandwich, with a Q3 LD emitter. I've been dying to try one out, I'm surprised they haven't been snapped up at the Shoppe. Seems just the ticket for the single 123 and CR2 lights. Now, a shootout is in order for the most efficient converter for the small lights. Badboy 300 or Madmax Lite? I'm will be doing an informal runtime test tomorrow, any opinions on which one will be the hot setup? I'm looking forward to trying one in a single AA host, any comments on how that might work? Thanks for the converters Wayne, and thanks also for fixing my BB300! I may have to send a couple lights to Roy for a nice runtime graph.......

I'm very interested, especially using 2AA NiMh batteries.
Ordered one Madmax Lite too, still on it's way. Unfortunately I forgot to order a Q3! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

hi guys,

possible for anyone of you to post a few pics of the madmax (eg light throw, brightness etc)? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Icarus, I'm running one right now on a pair of Sanyo 2100's, no beam shots this time. I'll let ya' know how it did. It ran for about 2 hours and 30-45 minutes before dimming noticeably on a Surefire 123....compared to just over an hour with a MM+.

Running side by side with a MM+ on single AA alkalines, the Lite started out brighter and remained that way until at least 4 hours had passed. I stopped the run at 5 1/2 hours when both were down to about Infinity Ultra level

I've built three MM Lite sandwiches so far, and today I ordered two more boards, I like it!
