Hello,

just want to share some pics about a new build with you. My intention was to

make a triple SST-90 and keep it as simple as possible for low budget and

being easy to build cause I did no longer want to take one of my more

cost intensive lights for my nightly dog walking, so I put the following

parts together: a Mag 2D, 3x SST-90 (W65S-GN100 binning), 3x AW IMR 26500,

custom made heatsink, mag stock switch, DX triple reflector for hopefully good

throw (inspired by a nice triple SST-50 built from ma_sha1) 20ga teflon wire:

…round piece of metal from ebay (costs at about 1$) as a heatsink, lots of glue

(forgot to clean after I pressed the emitters to the plate over night) switch:

…all together in the Mag head- I rasped the reflector on the upside only for

about 3mm down, just that much so that I could fix the bezel to the head,

it does not screw down completely:

hi big work you done
whats the burntime and the degree of the light

...resources of the heatsinking for this light had been really "small"- all the lights I built are not heavily glued or fixed that much, that you could not use the parts to go on with modifying- but this light, after it fell on the floor for one time, started to go blue after about 40 seconds- and I could not find anything wrong after it fell down- so I screwed the small heatsinking to the mag-head, then it worked (before no glue, no screws, only pressed to heatsink by screwing down mag bezel..). Meanwhile I do not own this light any more- but it seems to work so far...

best regards,
steffen
