So, are there any new developments in the LED's for Maglites?
I know you can buy stock 3W ones but was wondering if there's anything brighter that still fits a maglite directly since they still use that sleeve that slides over the bulb.

I'm wanting a nice, bright LED bulb to go in an old military angle-head light and was thinking a Mag LED bulb would do nicely but want something even brighter :D

Any ideas?

Terralux have a 2-3D mag drop in that would suit your needs. You can get it form Batteryjunction on Monday when they start taking orders again.

About $20ish and 140 lumens. Don't know what/if there is anything else that comes close for the dollars.

Make sure you get your polarity right.

The 3W MagLED is fatter than standard PR2(/PR6) bulbs. Probably won't fit your anglehead.

Note the older versions of the TLE-6EXB is also fat. The new ones are OK for fit (see focus problems below). Be careful about which version you are getting.

The problem with other bulbs is most do not focus well in fixed focus flashlights.
