Mag Mule?

Has anyone done it? (I searched but didn't find one.)

I was just about positive a very popular builder did a 3xP7 mag mule but I am on finding it right now. Guess that wan't too helpful, but maybe someone will remember? I was kinda thinking it was a Malkoff but then, I am probably wrong about that.

Seems to me that I just need a modified head or bezel ring but haven't run across anything like that.

I run a P7 3D Mag without a reflector. It does a great job of area lighting, without a blinding hotspot.

It just seems like the beam looks better when I remove the bezel ring, lens, and reflector rather than just the reflector. (I admit it's a TINY difference but still noticeable.)

I was just wondering if others have modified the head/bezel to make it somewhat shorter.

It might be too much trouble for a incremental gain. (But it would look kinda cool!)

I'd like to see something to replace the head entirely. Screw it down over the tube/emitter, so it protects the emitter, and make it in both clear and diffuse models, for different purposes.

I think the solution is to raise the LED's up rather than push the head down. Look at the multi-sink from download.
