MagCharger Upgrade

Where can I get a more powerful bulb to replace the stock one in my MagCharger? I would also like to replace the battery pack and reflector. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been reading these forums for weeks, and I think I finally decided which super handheld light I want, I mean need. It's a MagCharger with a WA 01160 bulb, Wilkey UMP, UCL Lens and an Orange Peel reflector. My question is, where can I get one already built, or the parts to build one?

Hi Lewis,

The MC60UMP-UCL is a very nice combo. I've been working with this and other configs and it's a great performer, if somewhat heavy. Here's how to get one:
1. Buy a completed unit from someone who bought one of my UMPs in either of the last pack builds.
2. Buy a MC + UCL + WA01160 from Flashlightlens.
3. Buy the parts separately and assemble your own.

Only problem is with the UMP. I'm making all there will be unless someone else steps in and makes a build. I'm in the middle of soldering 37 packs and I'm dizzy from lead fumes /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif They are all spoken for I'm afraid. The first few packs are doing very well. Conditioning is getting 4000 mAh into them. Well above the 3500 mAh spec.

Note, you do not need an OP reflector but you can sputter your own or get LDF from Flashlightlens for diffusion.

3. I will if I can't find it anywhere else.

I'm looking for maximum throw. Will the LDF reduce it?

LDF will reduce max throw, but not total output of light by much.

Will the Otokoyama Orange Peel PMR fit on the MagCharger? That looks like an awesome reflector.

Otokoyama does have a special Orange Peel PMR for the MagCharger, but I'm not sure about availability. They were quite popular and people that did not get in the orginal group buy are already forming a queue to get any extra's.

I have one and it is awesome ... get one if you can.
