Magnalight Rul-85 100W Incan

Does anyone know anything about this light? I have searched the CPF site, and cannot find any posts about it. It is a 100W Incan that uses an H3 automotive bulb. It has a rechargeable lithium battery, 50 minute runtime, a 7" reflector, and a form factor similar to a Blitz 240. It sells for about $185. I have an AEX 25W, and am wondering how it would compare. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, JimT

It will produce more lumens and throw better than the Xenide25W. It will however come up short compared to a 35W HID with similar sized reflector.

Thanks Patriot. I will probably get this light, as there are times when I need instant-on, momentary light with alot of throw.

I have this spotlight. The heart of the light is a pack of 6 18650 lithium ion cells. Mine all went dead within a month! A new battery pack is $98.00 on their website. I bought 6 18650 batteries with tabs from All-Battery and soldered them together in the same configuration as the original. My light is up and running. It's a good light, but.... I would advise you to look at the HID version. It should be much brighter. Why did my batteries die? Don't know. When I removed and checked them they were all just above 1v. When it works it's a great light.

Did you contact Magnalight? I guess you found an easy fix but they might've made it right.
