Making my own battery adapters/carriers? Any hints?

HEY CPF! Just wondering if anyone knew of any good hints or how-tos for making my own battery carrier? I mean, I'd like to buy one of Modamag's or Fivemega's but with my budget it's much more logical to try to make my own. I have a soldering iron, and that's about it, right now. Any hints/how-tos/suggestions would be wonderful. I'm thinking of a 7.2 volt setup where I can remove the batteries for charging since I only have a little 4 bay smart charger. Perhaps 6x2 As, or AAs? I'm not sure.
