I think so too. I EDC'ed a M60 with 1x18650 for a while and I never thought I had adequate runtime with it. I mean, it was almost 2 hours which is respectable in and of itself but the problem is, when you really need it, it might already have only 40 minutes left on it, due to your previous usage. So every day you pack it, need to ensure a freshly charged Li-Ion or a fresh 123 set.
With M60L, you can afford not to check it every day. With M60L you have a far greater room for error. You can use it a lot and still have a lot left. Especially helpful if you are forgetful.
