I just wanted to post here about my Peak Matterhorn 3LED HA III.
I've had this light for well over a year now and I carry it every day in my pocket on the end of a fancy coil lanyard that is a pretty danged useful bit of kit I picked up on another forum...
Its clipped to the lanyard next to a SAK Rambler and I really don't know its there, its that lightweight. But when I need a light, its right there and the lanyard makes it very easy to access.
I really like it due to its negligible weight and great knurling. This makes it a great light for mouth-holding. I dunno about you guys but I find this the easiest way to direct light if I am doing something using both hands.
I have the High Power version, as I was wanting a good trade-off between runtime and output. The trick is though, I run it on a lithium e2 Energiser and that really gets those LEDs humming. This little sucker is bright! No hot spot to speak of obviously just a lot of flood.
The tint is snow white as advertised, with a hint of icy blue. I really like it.
Runtime is superb. I'm still on the first lithium and I use this light. OK, not for hours at a time, but still. I have not detected a drop-off in output yet.
Best of all, this little guy is tough! I was carrying it sans lanyard recently and it went for a ride in our washing machine. Came through it no probs, and the energiser was dry as a bone. The HAIII is holding up very well, with some minor loss on the edge of the bezel.
For the price, this little light is a real winner that deserves the kind of attention normally directed at the Arc P.
Its the one light that, should I lose it, I would have to replace immediately.
