I just saw the updated Peak site, (very nice, by the way) and notice two models labeled "coming soon". They're in the Volcano section and named Mauna Loa and Vesuvius. Does anybody have any information on these? Robyn? Are these hush hush until release? If this has been covered before, then please excuse the questions. I'm excited to see Peak coming out with new product.

Ah, note that the tab for Volcano reads "Volocao". Might want to fix that. :)

Oh, and under the "Shop" tab the search products sub-tab is also mis-spelled.

Specs listed on CD!

I was just looking through the Peak product line PDF file on the CD they sent me and noticed they have listed specs for the Mauna Loa (CR123, 5 watts) and Vesuvius (RCR123, 15 watts!).

Wonder how I missed that for so long!

15 Watt Peak LED? :faint:

:takeit:

Unfortunately I am skeptical that this is a typo. Hopefully we'll get some questions answered soon.

Very interested in learning about these upcoming models.

Do Peak employees post in this board?

Yes, member RobynS represents Peak here. I have a feeling that they're keeping these lights quiet until they're released. We didn't hear much about the 1st Responder until it was released and expect these two to be the same.

Thanks--just joined up....received a Peak Matterhorn in a give-away on a knife forum, and their CD catalog came with it.

I'm interested in the small, hyper-bright LEDs, and love the Matterhorn, and am starting to look into their other models.

The CD catalog still lists these 2 "volcano" models as pending, but I wasn't sure how up to date it was.

My wife and I have 3 or 4 Matterhorns, too.

Check out the Peak Caribbean with P4 LED and the pocket (short) body. It is very small and very bright, though it gets warm and the battery life will be shorter than your Matterhorn.

The Caribbean and the Mediterranean have caught my eye as the most likely candidates for next purchase.

I'm pretty impressed with the Matterhorn, and carry it along with a little fixed-blade knife in a pocket sheath.

they have an 800+lumen rifle light that uses two of the First Responder heads on it. it must look a bit odd, but would be hella bright!
