hey guys

im slightly green, having owned my dbs R2 for a little over 4 months now.

i was planning on picking up a light that had a wider beam for use in places where the DBS is not so suitable. i was wanting to pick up the CL1H with the 2.4 amp MCE pill, but it looks like flashcrazy said it gets too hot for him to want to sell it.

now, i am not too worried about it i just wanted a pocket rocket.

but, i was wondering what else is available that could put out this kind of light that would be relatively small head diameter and be somewhat floody?

thanks for you input

I have the P7 in from ebay MTE and it's all flood.
The Malkoff P7 drop-in for my 6P/bored is 100% all flood. It's like turning on the light swith in the bedroom. It does get hot, and if I didn't hold the flashlight it would get too hot. I don't know if the P7 with 2.5 to 2.8amp draw will run cool, both of mine get warm after 5 minutes.

I did have a chance to try a Q5 with extra flood from TNVC $44 dollar retail and it is almost as floody as the Malkoff, but not as bright; it did however stayed cool. If I needed the most flood I could get while making sure the LED stayed cool this would be it. If I wanted a balanced between flood and throw I would get the Malkoff M60.
