Is there any type of polish or cleaner that works best on the McLux EN Power Packs? I've heard of something called Flix [I think] that is suppose to work on Raw Aluminum, will it also work on the EN Packs?

Any suggestions?

Polish will basically only "clean" it up and will not get it shiny chrome like unless the EN plating is stripped off.

flashlight ocd what does your en coating look like. mine looks like i held a lighter to it and it charred. ( ofcourse I didn't do that it's just what it looks like) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

FlashlightOCD,

You are thinking of Flitz I believe. It should do a good job of cleaning up the light. Dish soap and warm water also do wonders.

I think you have described it pretty well, the finish just looks a little unevenly discoloured in places. That plus a little dirty from handling.

McGizmo, thanks for refreshing my failing memory. Do you know if Flitz can be bought at B&M stores? Home Depot or Wallmart maybe?

FlashlightOCD,

I would assume that Flitz is on some shelvesbuthave not looked for it. I got mine from a chandlery I used to manage and a big tube is essentially a life time supply.
