A little extra tidbit... The threads DO interchange between both bodies and heads of both lights...

BUT... The head of the McLux has its positive battery contact way too far south, while the 2AA body of the Arc has its threads too far south the other way; the AA battery's stickin' out... And you then see why it won't fit the battery and head of the Arc body...

I bought an extra 2x123 EN McLux body just so I could harness the Supercharged Head. Besides the other McLux stuff you did for me is getting lonely /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif

Hmmm, I managed to miss this the first time around. Maybe it was because I was in the process of assembling my UBH kit, which this would really add something nice to!

Heya, fellas.

Thanks for the interest shown - its good, but not quite "critical mass" level yet. My posts were feelers anyway and I did get the decision-making info that I needed (yes, I counted everyone who contacted me one way or another for these head).

I wish I could say that this project was a go, but, sadly for now - its officially on ice. Apart from feedback, lots of other things at play here - work, family, finances, logistics - none of which are swinging my way right now. *sigh* Some of ya have noticed I post (and visit) the CPF a whole lot less nowadays, pretty much for the reasons I mentioned.

Who knows? When I finally revive this thing, perhaps you'll all already be wielding 10W luxeon lights with 60/lmW eff and 600 lumen outputs and 24-hour runtimes running off fuel-cells or something!

My apologies to one and all who are dissappointed by this possibly-would-have-been-project, but I hope you guys understand.

In the meantime, my kitchen's never totally closed and some neat things *are* cooking (in recipe stage, anyway)... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Please consider this thread closed - when things look up and I can get some air, I'll start a new thread.
