What is out there right now that I can use to change out the stock maglite reflector that is cut for the new malkoff drop ins. I really would like a nice reflector to smooth out the beam a bit.

I recently got 2 metal reflectors from Kaidomain for my 3C and those are very nice. Available in both smooth and OP with removable Cams (threaded). & they are only like $10 each with free world wide shipping. OP isnt extreme but not light either. Id call it medium. Shipping to germany from china took 2 weeks.

I have a bunch of Mag accessories from kaidomain. What I have learned is that unless you are going to be producing heat that will start to melt the pre cut Malkoff plastic reflectors then stick with the very nice and smooth cut plastic reflector. Is this for a full size Mag? I have had 2 Malkoff drop in prebuilt emitters for big Mags. They have been nothing but incredible. My favorite is the 3-6 D Cell drop in. It is XP-G2 perfection.

It is for a 4D Maglite with a Malkoff XP-G. I'm just spoiled by smooth beams🤪🙈🥴

So basically the same XP-G drop in I have? It does not make the light hot. Yes I even had kaidomains aluminum reflectors in smooth and orange peel with the removable cam. But in the end the regular plastic reflector with the cam cut off is going to likely give you the smoothest beam the light is capable of. The smooth KD cammed reflectors do not beat the regular plastic one in my usage. I took this light outside last night. The beam profile the Malkoff Mag XP-G2 is actually wider than my HOUSE. Using the cut plastic.

That's why I went with the acrylite lens CC. I was gifted a Kadomain but the slightly diffused lens produced better results to my eyes. Much less noticeable edges between the hot spot and spill. It resembles an M61 at the edges more than using a clear lens.
