Grr, I had taken the switch out of my mag 2D. Well, it came apart, and I was trying to get the thin metal strip back in the stem of the switch assembly. Well, it broke. Grr. I was going to play with a new mod too! I was going to have around 500 lumens from it, but now I cannot since I have no switch. AHHHH!

Think mag will send me a new one? I hear they will send small stuff like the rubber boot from the switch, don't know if they will send me a part of the switch. Also, if they would, I still don't know how to assemble the switch correctly. I suppose this could probably be in the Cafe since it is more of an angry post than anything to do with lights. Makes me mad. I don't want to buy a new mag just to host this mod.

check with any local police supply places or other mag vendors in your area they may carry the parts for your light. i know there is a place in maryland called baynesville electronics that carries all of the parts for all sizes of maglight from aaa tailcaps to d switches and bulb holder rings basicly everything to build a mag of any size, minus the cylinder! they buy there parts in kit form so you may be able to buy a kit from mag or hopefully a local vendor in your area stocks the parts individually. good luck!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/au.gif

I've never seen a mag part for sale by itself before. I have never heard of a mag vendor either, at least not a brick and mortar store. I think I'm probably screwed on the deal. Even people who mod the mag keep the switch assembly.

you can't order from them online but you can order over the phone the # is 410-823-0082 baynesville electronics they carry all mag parts by the piece, switches and all give them a call if you can't find one elsewhere. they will have it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

For $10 I can get the mag switch and seal shipped. Hmm, I can about buy a 2D mag from ebay for that, and they sell for what, $15 in the store. Grr. I don't even need the whole switch assembly. Oh well, guess I'll just bite the bullet and go ahead and buy a new one or maybe ebay.

I finally located one. The only thing it is missing is the spring for the positive contact. Let me know if you need it.
