I have a MiniMag 2AA LED light with erratic contact in the on-off switch -- the contacts that come together to turn the light on when you unscrew the head. Does anyone know how to expose those contacts for cleaning, or how to get some cleaner like DeOxIt in to them?

CC,
Unscrew the head and pull out the bulb. Once you have done this, you can pop the top of the bulb holder off. Next, remove the batteries and the plastic contact holder will fall out. You can check to see if the grounding tab is the problem.

Good Luck!

Sorry, I didn't make clear that the light is the LED version. I've edited the original posting. I appreciate the response, but think it's referring to the incandescent light.

In the LED version, the LED plugs in and can be removed, although I think it might not be necessary. The LED base is surrounded by a black plastic piece. It looks like this has to come off, but all attempts I've made just break it. And I'm not sure even if I could get it off, that this would give me access to the contacts. So I'm hoping somebody has actually gotten to the contacts in the LED version who can light the way, so to speak.
