Mod Fenix L1D for max only?

Is there a simple, preferably temporary way to modify a Fenix LXD so it will not change levels with a quick press? I want to temporarily set one up so with the head tightened it is max only and won't go to strobe if I use the momentary off.

I don't think there is a way

would have to modify/swap the driver.

Yep, that'll do it. But make sure to use the 3.7v Li-Ion variety, not the LiFePO4 kind.

With the head loose even if you use a 3.7 V battery it will lose the low and medium levels but it will still go into SOS mode after a couple of clicks.

And IMO with the head tightened there's no way to avoid the strobe.

Shoot, I was getting excited about the excellent li-ion idea. Oh, well, no big deal. Was just looking for a way to have a sort of tactical mode, but that's not what the light was designed for.

Find someone who has a spare forward clicky from the LxT v2 and convince them to sell it to you.
