Mod River Rock 2AAA 0.5W headlamp w/ new LED?

I was just thinking, the RR headlamp is actually a really nice one, with good watertight seals, nice build quality and decent runtime, but the LED in it is not exactly the best. Looks like an easy mod, was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the LED with something nicer like an XP-G?

For $10 (and you can buy it direct from RR) it seems like a good platform for playing with.
