Modded my SL Argo HP (foto's)

Hello, a time ago i modded the argo HP with a luxI high dome instead of the side emitter : more trow and still plenty of sidespil , and no more artifacts .
Now, i have a few SSC P4-U emitters to play with!
So i swapped the luxI (emitter only) into a SSC P4-U on the headsink of the luxI. I also had to trim the back of the reflector to get the perfect focus.
WOW : the low setting with the SSC gives the same as the high setting with the luxI ! The high setting with the SSC (+-270mA consumtion on the 2 x cr123A batteries), gives me thesame amount of light like my QIII (modded with a badboy750 convertor,White Luxeon III 3W Emitter LXHL-PW09 UX1L ,IMS reflector and ultra clear lens) = 1300mA consumtion on 1 cr123A battery.
So : i am VERY happy with the result!

wow!!! this is really great news... I ordered one of these, but wasn't sure if the regulator circuit would work properly with other LEDs... sounds like things are in range... I might have to give this a whirl..

i just can't understand why SL when developing a product doesn't see that using a normal LED will produce a much better beam... why the SE?

Added some foto's in first post.
Lights where 75cm of the wall (at 1meter the sidespill was a problem for my camera (only 2Mpixels)).
Hope it is a little helpfull.

Bought a lux meter:

QIII original: +-500lux
QIII SSC P4 U/BB750mA/UCL/IMS reflector : +-1200lux
Argo HP SSC P4 U low : +-400lux
Argo HP SSC P4 U high : +-1200lux
