Um, polycarbonate lens, which is quite sucky. I'd like a saphire-crystal sized lens. How might one find one?
And, I see the "UCL" lens on Lighthound. What is UCL?
Under what conditions, other than with a light meter, can you detect a 9% change in light output?Ultra Clear Lens. Sapphire crystal is restrictive and expensive ($20)compared to UCL or even the plastic lens that comes with the light. It blocks about 10% of the light produced, UCL about 1%.
You would never see a 9% difference with the human eye
Speaking for myself, if I have a 400hp engine and a cheap mod will give me a 9% increase in power, I'll do it. It's about performance for me.
