The Surefire CR123 batts in the 6PD/M60 finally gave out. I replaced them with a pair of new (shrink wrapped) Tenergy batts. Both Tenergys checked 3.28v on the Fluke meter. Clicked on the light & got - maybe - 1/4 normal output.
Connected the Fluke again & measured 220ma draw, not the normal 800ma and knew something was not right. Did a across-the-meter amp test (not recommended) ... one batt showed 9.9a, the other showed 2.1a. Tossed both in the trash, installed a pair of new Surefires, current draw showed 800ma, light at full brightness.
Never had a brand new defective battery. The Tenergys are Chinese manufacture, FWIW.
